My name is Jordan Verdone, I’ve been coaching with 3rd & 1 Football since 2014. In my first year playing for the Redblacks I participated in NCAFA football registration to help bring awareness to youth football in Ottawa. It was through this event that I met the fine men & women of 3rd & 1 Football and decided to come out to one of their sessions. At the first session I was also able to donate some cleats to the “Cleats for Kids” campaign that 3rd and 1 Football runs. I had a great experience at my first session and loved their overall mission and knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. I have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to play alongside and be coached by some great people, all of whom impacted me some way or another either in my professional or personal life. I was helped along by a lot of mentors in my community as well as university and I wanted to use this as my opportunity to give back to the Ottawa community.
I am an internationally certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, I currently run my own training company called Athletic Performance Edge (A.P.E). In addition to assisting around the football drills, I conduct the fitness portion of the camp teaching the basic fundamentals of running, jumping and stretching
